Our hearts are heavy from the tragedy in the Texas Hill Country. We pray for those impacted by the flooding. At all of our camps, Young Life has emergency procedures, both for natural disasters and accidents, and we regularly train on and review these procedures. The safety of every young person at camp is one of our highest priorities, and it influences our decision-making in every aspect of camp. Summer 2020 Update
In light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak we will not be offering opportunities to serve as an intern this summer, as we have decided to not hold consecutive weeks of nationally managed Young Life summer camp. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and the desire to protect the interests of the health and safety for everyone involved. Summer Internships at Lost Canyon
Summer Interns play a vital role in our summer camping ministry. Our interns are committed to Christ first and foremost. They also have the ability to lead others, serve with excellence and have a desire to be challenged and grow in their relationship with Christ. Summer Interns will strive to serve Christ, kids and each other. They will also have the opportunity to grow as leaders in ministry, develop Christ-like relationships and enjoy the fun and beauty of camp.
Requirements
- Currently active as a ministry leader in Young Life or other Christian ministry.
- Preferred: Past Young Life experience or other ministry experience.
- At least 2 years out of high school or are at least 20 years of age.

Complete an online summer Intern application. To complete the application you will need the email address of a Young Life staff member who is willing to write a recommendation on your behalf. We begin accepting summer intern applications November 1st of each calendar year. Applications for Summer 2026 will open Monday, September 15th and will begin review by our staff on October 1st!
