How many total guests can Lost Canyon hold in the dining hall and in the dorms?

Over 600 people can be comfortably hosted at Lost Canyon.

Are you able to host small groups?

Occasionally Lost Canyon is able to host small groups mid-week during school season. Please check the booking page for more information. 


I am ready to reserve a week/weekend ... what is my next step?

Contact our marketing coordinator. Once an available week/weekend has been agreed upon and a contract has been signed, you will work with the guest service coordinator to plan your camp. 

Is there a minimum reservation number required?

For exclusive use of the property, Lost Canyon requires a minimum of 325 full-paying guests. 

We are glad to accommodate groups over 200 with the possibility of sharing the facilities with another group. We will assist you in coordinating meal times and facilities.


What staffing is the group responsible for providing?

Work Crew - To provide support services for the camp in food service, retail and other areas. You must bring Work Crew in a ratio of approximately 1 per 10 campers, including at least one work crew supervisor. Your Guest Group Coordinator will let you know exactly how many you need based on your groups numbers and your retail expectations. Work crew members need to be the same people for the entire stay; please, no rotating work crews. Work Crew Members are free of charge, however they do not contribute towards your contract minimum.

Medical Personnel - A doctor, PA, nurse and/or EMT will be provided by your group.

Sound Tech - To run the sound systems for your worship leaders.

What is the group expected to clean at the end of the week/weekend?

Clean-up includes taking all dirty linens to Clarabell's (laundry room), folding blankets, picking up trash and putting back any furniture that has been moved.

Will each guest need to bring a "bed roll"?


Lost Canyon provides sheets, blankets, pillows and towels for every guest, including work crew.

Is there availability in the summer for non-Young Life groups?

Our summer season is reserved for Young Life camping, but occasionally there are openings at the begining of May and in the month August. Please check the booking page for more information.


How do I participate in work crew during the summer?
 
Work crew is a volunteer experience at a Young Life property for those in high school. To be eligible, a student must have completed one year of high school and his or her local area’s work crew training course. The work crew serves the campers in a variety of ways, including as dining hall servers, grounds crew and housekeepers. Once an application has been filled out, it should be turned in to the local Young Life leader who will route it to the properties. The deadline for work crew applications is March 15.  However, any spots not filled by the work crew quota will be made available mission wide after March 15. What do I do if I want to come for a tour?

 
We are always happy to provide tours of Lost Canyon, especially weekdays from 8a.m. - 4:30p.m. Please contact our marketing coordinator at (602) 309.3311 for more information or to schedule a tour. All tours need to be scheduled in advance.
